On 06/11/2018 the Miller County Sheriff's Office received information about human remains in a rural area of Miller County. The Miller County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation and is being assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control. The death has been ruled as a homicide and the human remains were identified as Tyler J. Worthington from the State of California. Based on information and witness statements gathered during the investigation, Miller County Prosecutor Ben Winfrey issued and arrest warrant for Joseph P. McKenna of Chicago, Illinois. McKenna was taken into custody without incident for the murder of Worthington. Joseph McKenna is being held on a $750,000.00 bond for 2nd degree murder and is awaiting extradition.
